Using the 'not used' E 7 part that lacks the lifters.
Adding lifters from metal wire.

Completed engine.

Starting assembly of cockpit interior

Compartment wall between pilot and observer, map table, floor window for observer and window between pilot and observer,


Added rigging line to the table. Dry fit in the fuselage, -looks good.

Camera is done!


And there are the seats and seatbelts complete!

Detailing interior parts

Sorry, this post again is delayed, belongs mid November

Dials are handpainted, BOSH magneto is to the right.

The steering column comes with photoetched rigging cables.

Painting and weathering of tanks and details.

Sorry for the delay in updating, I have been a bit lazy,

The following picture are actually from the beginning of November:

Document folder, painting before detailing

Painted the leather seat as well, nearly time for cockpit interior assembly

Hansa-Brandenburg fuselage interior wood finish

Some ejector pin marks here, normally this wouldn't show, but there's an observation window below, so I'm sanding these..

 Usual base coat for wood finish:

Wooden interior done:

Oil colours brushed on. Varying mixes of Umber and Sienna.

Painting the fuel tank and some other interior detail grey

Starting on the Hansa-Brandenburg W.12

 As usual, nice box art. This box is much bigger and heavier than the Roland.

-And it's full of sprues.. (about nine of them..)

Starting with this one as it contains the parts for the cockpit interior,

Floor with petrol tank. The pilot sits on top of the petrol tank (!)

Framing. Oil tank in the engine compartment showing.

Partition with window between pilot and observer.

Dryfit cockpit framing. Below, map table and camera.
All fits perfectly. A bit more cleanup required, then painting time.
